Splendour XR is accessible here which is available on any device through gaming PC, mobile, browser and VR. The event will operate globally on a single timezone: 12pm to 2am AEST, with programming commencing at 2pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) (GMT+10.)

If you have a gaming PC or VR device or headset (see below specifications), then you will be able to experience Splendour XR in all its glory. Chat with old friends or meet new friends via text or voice chat, walk around and explore the virtual festival site, create your own customised avatar, donate to one of our globally aligned charities, buy merch or verch (virtual merch), throw emoticons and dance to all your favourite artists.

If you have a Mac / iOS device, you will still see the live avatars and experience the virtual world, be able to choose your view with over 70 cameras, chat and throw emojis around the place. You can do this on any computer web browser or by downloading the Sansar app to your mobile here.

SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

If you have a Gaming PC you will need the following specifications to access the fully immersive Splendour XR experience. If you do not have these specs, you will need to access Splendour XR through the entry level experience via any computer web browser, or by downloading the Sansar app to your phone.

To access Splendour XR, simply follow the below steps:
1. Purchase your Splendour XR ticket.
2. You will then receive an email confirming your purchase from the ticket provider.
3. You will then receive an email from Sansar including your unique redemption link in English. Click on the link.
4. If you have a Sansar account, log into your account. If you do not have an existing Sansar account, you will need to sign up and create one (it’s free!).
5. Download the Sansar ap if you’re on mobile, Gaming PC or VR.
6. Or go to the XR Event Page on web browser.
7. Enjoy Splendour XR when it goes live on Saturday 24 July from 12pm to 2am AEST with programming commencing at 2pm AEST!

We recommend signing up and creating your Sansar account prior to the event to ensure a seamless virtual experience.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

Want to go full immersion? Experience Splendour XR in all its glory with gaming PC or VR. Walk around and explore the virtual festival site, a creatively reimagined but faithful interpretation on the real life Splendour in the Grass festival.

Build your own virtual self by creating your customised avatar. Walk, dance and teleport your way through the weekend. You can even purchase “verch” (virtual merch).

Hang out with your friends or meet new ones with the voice and text chat functions.

Show how much you love the performers by reacting with emoticons. Or show how much you love the music industry and the people in it by donating to a music industry charity from around the globe.

Get festival ready by selecting your avatar’s outfit. Choose from a range of custom-made, bespoke Splendour XR wardrobe items plus accessories such as glasses, watches, rings, earrings and necklaces. Need a backpack to carry your festival essentials? We’ve got you covered. Don’t want to be a human? Opt to be an animal instead.

Pick your Splendour XR personality and choose ways to emote such as waving, dancing, clapping, raising your hands/arms, cheering and lolling.
